The 18-300mm F/3.5-6.3 Di III-A VC VXD (Model B061) is an all-in-one zoom lens for Sony E, FUJIFILM X, Nikon Z and Canon RF-mount APS-C mirrorless cameras. It is the first* lens in the world for APS-C mirrorless cameras with a zoom ratio of 16.6x and 18-300mm focal length range (the full-frame equivalent of 27-450mm). Zooming from wide-angle to ultra-telephoto, it covers a broad array of shooting situations, including landscape, sports, wildlife, snapshots, and portraits. The lens’s compact design makes it easy to carry every day, and it is ideal for travel and family activities. With a 0.15m (5.9 in) MOD (Minimum Object Distance) at the wide end and a maximum magnification ratio of 1:2, it lets you photograph subjects with a unique perspective. In addition, autofocus is very fast and accurate thanks to its precise, high speed VXD (Voice-coil eXtreme-torque Drive) linear motor focus mechanism. And for steady shots, it is equipped with TAMRON’s proprietary VC (Vibration Compensation) system. In particular, this all-in-one zoom with its 300mm super-telephoto reach is useful in a wide range of situations, from vast landscapes and everyday snapshots to portraits, as well as animals, birds, sports and kids’ events. In addition, the weight is approximately 620g (3), and the filter diameter is φ67mm— the same as many in our mirrorless lens series. The compact design is ideal for use on trips and hikes.

Maximum magnification ratio is 1:2, absolutely amazing for an all-in-one zoom lens
At the 18mm wide end, the lens attains an MOD of 0.15m (5.9 in) and a maximum magnification ratio of 1:2. With an amazing working distance of 5mm (0.2 in)(4), you can get as close as you want to your subject while capturing the background. This opens the doors for a style of expression that is exclusive to wide macro photography.
(4) When shooting with an MOD of 0.15m (5.9 in) at the wide end, the distance between the subject and the front tip of the lens is approximately 5mm (0.2 in). Use precaution so that the front element does not touch the subject when shooting at MOD.

This lens incorporates TAMRON’s proprietary VC mechanism to minimize the effect of camera-shake, which is likely to occur in the telephoto range. It displays its ability to perform when shooting handheld under low-light conditions such as indoor or when shooting at night. It effectively reduces the degradation of picture quality. Using AI technologies, the lens will choose the compensation characteristic for videography at focal lengths of 70mm or less.
